Enlighten whitening is a mixture of at home and in-surgery teeth whitening. At the initial visit to the dentist you will have a custom-made tray for you to apply the whitening gel at home. This tray is made from an impression of your teeth as to perfectly fit with the shape of your mouth for maximum comfort.
You will be given a professional bleaching gel to apply at home. You will apply the gel over 14 nights to the tray before you sleep. This stage prepares your teeth for the deep bleaching on day 15 with your dentist.
On day 15, your visit to the dentist would involve the deep bleaching treatment. Your dentist will cover the soft tissues carefully leaving your only teeth exposed. A concentrated gel will be evenly applied to your teeth and a special Enlighten light will be shone onto your teeth for around 20 minutes, which can be repeated at three intervals.
